About the course
This course provides graduates trained in psychology, speech pathology, occupational therapy, paediatrics, or psychiatry with the specialist knowledge and clinical skills to participate in team-based diagnosis of autism in line with the National Guideline for the assessment and diagnosis of autism in Australia.

What you’ll learn
The first two coursework units (consisting of seven flexibly and independently completed online micro-credentials) provide in-depth knowledge of diagnostic frameworks, assessment and diagnosis, diagnosis features and assessment approaches across the lifespan, initiating a referral, and differential diagnosis.
The third unit is a practical unit providing training in the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition (ADOS-2).
The course culminates in an applied fourth unit, which provides students with a range of applied opportunities to apply their knowledge, and develop and demonstrate their skills in autism assessment and diagnosis.
